The Pointe de Caldanu can be accessed from the outskirts of Lumio via a dead-end track which also leads to a stop on the Trinichellu line (the train linking Calvi to Bastia and Ajaccio, which runs along the coast here). The Genoese tower of Caldanu stands a few dozen meters from the promontory, separated by large rocks which are typical of the region. This square tower has a solid base, and is well preserved on three sides, but completely ruined on the fourth. The platform on which the tower is built can be reached easily, with its former living quarters where a small section of wall from the first floor can be seen. The view of Calvi bay, its citadel and the Pointe de la Revellata is magnificent. The Île de Spanu and the tower and promontory of the same name (which protects the bay of Calvi) can be easily accessed via the coastal path to the north.
