20138 Coti-Chiavari
A small road heads down from the D155 to Cala di Cigliu, a secluded location with several houses. From the end of this road, the Genoese tower can be reached in 15 minutes via a footpath through fairly well-kept maquis. Although the tower has not been restored, it is in fairly good condition, with the exception of the terraced machicolations, which are slightly damaged. The weather was misty when we were there, but we could still see the nearest towers of Capo di Muro and Capannelle. In clear weather the view takes in four additional Genoese towers situated around the Golfe de Valinco.
