From the village of Piana, take a road heading west (singposted "belvedère de je sais plus quoi" which translates as "viewpoint of I'm not sure where"). Head south for a couple of kilometres. 1km further on you come to a car park with a snack bar nearby, wonderful sea views - and a boules pitch! The footpath to the tower (already in view) starts here (altitude 300m), heading down from the car park towards the promontory. Once you get to the lowest point of the path on one side and to the foot of the ridge which climbs up to the summit on the other, there is a short cut via a path on the right just below the ridge leading up to the summit (Tour de Turghiu). Take the short cut only if you're fairly fit and the rock is dry. Otherwise, continue along the wider path leading up to the tower on the left. Once at the top, a small staircase leads to the top of the tower.
