Presentation
Situated right in the centre of the Taravo valley, this charming little village provides visitors with a real breath of fresh air. Not to be missed: the church, built in the 17C from an older structure, includes a restored tabernacle and is one of the most beautiful churches in southern Corsica. At the entrance to the village, an unfinished church, which, as a result of lack of funds, has neither roof nor windows. Below the village in the hamlet of Mascareddu, the ruins of San Simeonu chapel date from the late 13C-early 14C and are typical of the late-Romanesque period. Foce archaeological site.
