Presentation
The Regional Natural Park of Corsica, created in 1972, now covers more than a third of the island with an area of 350,000 hectares. It brings together 143 municipalities in the departments of Haute-Corse and Corse-du-Sud. encompasses the Gulf of Porto and the Scandola reserve, a seafront classified on the UNESCO list of natural world heritage sites, as well as the highest massifs: the "great barrier" which stretches from Monte Cinto to the North. West to the needles of Bavella in the south-east.
