Caniscione beach, also known as the "plage du village" or village beach, is accessed via a dirt track (suitable for cars) which crosses fields as it descends into the plain, skirting the lagoon before finally arriving at the beach, which is lined with tamarisk trees providing welcome shade. An area is marked out for swimming, although there are no lifeguards on duty.
