Discover the celestial vault with the Ajaccio Club of astronomy enthusiasts

The Club Ajaccien d'Astronomie (Ajaccio Astronomy Club) regularly welcomes members of the public to its Observatory at the Centre Scientifique de Vignola, for evenings of discovering the sky and observing through a telescope.

These evenings are held once or twice a month, depending on the availability of our members and the weather. The calendar of evenings, published on this page, is regularly updated.

Evening programme

Discover the celestial vault, identify the most beautiful stars and constellations visible according to the season, and learn how to find your way by looking at the stars.

Telescope observation of the lunar surface, nebulae, galaxies, star clusters and planets, depending on the season.

Recommendations
We recommend that you arrive at reception 10 minutes before the start of the evening,
It is forbidden to drive into the Observatory. The public car park is located on the right before the sign indicating the entrance to the site,
Do not use white light (e.g. torches, mobile phone lights, etc.) on an observation site where only red light is permitted, in order to preserve the night vision of participants,
Make sure you are well covered up in winter; during the summer season, bring a waistcoat.
