Day 1Bastia-Ersa
Distance : 50 km / D+ : 650 m
A magnificent first stage to get you going!
The route follows the coastline and the small seaside towns so typical of the east coast of Cap Corse!
For those who want a sportier version, there's also the option!
Day 2Ersa-Saint-Florent
Distance: 65 km / D+: 785 m
On the western slopes of Cap Corse, the steep coast dominates the shoreline in spectacular fashion, overlooked by Genoese towers and windmills on the crests. Its higher elevations offer superb panoramic views of the Cap and the Bay of Saint-Florent.
3rd daySaint-Florent-Belgodère
Distance: 62 km / D+: 1200 m
The stage begins with a crossing of the Agriates desert, a scorching mass of rocky outcrops and low-growing scrubland. Finally, the promontory villages of the Haute Balagne offer breathtaking panoramic views over the bays of Calvi and Ile Rousse.
4th dayBelgodère-Algajola
Distance: 70 km / D+: 1190 m
Magnificent stage today to reach Algajola. Discover the beautiful Giussani region and the Col de Battaglia. Take it from the gentler side! A shorter variant is available for those who want it!
Day 5Algajola-Galeria
Distance: 60 km / D+: 1060 m
Crossing the Marsolinu pass with a beautiful view of the Calvais region, Galeria is isolated by the sea, at the mouth of the Fango valley, this village is a haven of peace in the middle of the summer clamour.
Day 6Galeria-Porto
Distance: 55 km / D+: 710 m
The road takes us to Corsica's rich western coastline. At the Palmarella pass, one of the most beautiful panoramas of the trip awaits us: the Gulf of Girolata and the Scandola nature reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The fauna and flora of this entire region are exceptional.
Day 7Porto -Cargèse
Distance: 35 km / D+: 670 m
This is a shorter stage, but there are plenty of variations to choose from, as set out in our route booklet! After climbing the Calanche de Piana, we continue on to Cargèse and its two churches: the Greek and the Latin, facing each other over the sea.
Day 8Cargèse-Ajaccio
Distance: 58 km / D+: 840 m
You will follow the coastline to reach the Imperial City. There are plenty of beaches here, and the turquoise water and white sand are an invitation to go for a swim!
