Just 90 minutes from Paris, this three-stage trip will allow you to enjoy a little-known part of Corsica that is ideal for cycling.
Your day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Bastia
Your stay begins in Bastia at your hotel in the afternoon. This gives you time to explore the capital of Haute-Corse. The old port is superb, as is the citadel, which is freely accessible, and the old town, which offers a superb panorama of the sea and the surrounding area. For dinner, we recommend the old port with its unique atmosphere.
Overnight stay in a 3-star hotel in Bastia
Day 2: Tour of Cap Corse
In the morning, after meeting up, you will hop on your bike and follow the D80 (which goes around the cape) towards Macinaggio. You will ride along the coast for about 35 km before cutting from east to west via the Col de la Serra (365 m). On the other side of the island, the road follows the coast and its superb cliffs once again. Several Genoese and Paolines towers dot the route, and the marinas with their small fishing ports are magnificent. The evening stop is in Saint-Florent, where you can stroll around the harbour or visit the citadel...
Distance: 87 km - 105 or 120 km
Night in a 2-star hotel
Day 3: Saint-Florent
Today you have the choice between a day of rest to fully enjoy Saint-Florent, its beaches and its pretty marina, or getting on your bike to tackle the surrounding mountain passes.
If you choose to cycle, your route will take you to the summit of the Col de Teghime (535m altitude).
You will then have two options. The first will take you across the Nebbiu and then back to Saint-Florent.
The second will take you along a coastal road to enjoy an extra little loop in the hills above Bastia.
Distance: between 70 km and 115 km
Night in the same hotel** as the previous night
Day 4: The Nebbiu
You will leave the Gulf of Saint-Florent to cross the mountains towards Bastia, passing through Nebbiu. Depending on the route you choose, you will have between 1 and 3 passes to cross. For example, you can discover the village of Patrimonio by passing through the Col de Teghime (536 m) or reach Murato and the Col de Bigorno (885 m).
Distance: between 60 km - 80 km or 115 km
