6-night Pure Nature break with Bonifacio Tourist Office

 SEJOUR-PURE-NATURE-OT-BONIFACIO

Experience Bonifacio in spring and autumn if you want to live life slowly

At a time when everything is rushing around and we don't know how to take our time any more, at a time when hyper-connectivity is the adage and we have to juggle multiple schedules, the Pure Nature holiday is an opportunity to put the brakes on our mad rush and favour slowness. Here's an overview of a holiday with a low environmental impact but a high epicurean impact.

Accompanied by a guide/lecturer present throughout your stay, enjoy a variety of outdoor experiences such as hiking and snorkelling from your 4-star boutique hotel. Discover local farms through a visit to a permaculture vineyard and vegetable garden, enriched by amazing tastings (edible flowers, three-coloured wines). Explore the wealth of local flora and fauna with the help of expert guides. Finally, feel the power of a medieval city with many secrets.

Why this trip?
To meet people
Authentic encounters during tastings with Charlène and Marc, permaculture farmers, and Vincent, a winegrower who cultivates his vines using phytotherapy, which gives his wines their distinctive character and great ageing potential.

Taste
One of the charming 4-star hotels of your choice welcomes you to the heart of a timeless setting. Do you prefer a vegetable garden or a swimming pool with a view? Either way, you'll find luxurious rooms and impeccable service. In some cases, you'll have access to a gourmet restaurant or an à la carte menu for room delivery, where local produce is the main feature.

Time
Pure Nature has been designed to be enjoyed at your own pace, without pressure or obligation. The programme can be adapted to suit you. Designed to allow you to take a breather, it gives pride of place to moments of strolling and relaxation and leaves space for spontaneous discovery of the city and its people.

Attention
Pierre, an interpreter and lecturer, will be with you throughout your stay to tell you all about Bonifacio's great history and little anecdotes. He's also your man to introduce you to the ecological approach applied in the Marine Protected Area and the Bonifacio Grand Site.

YOUR PROGRAMME

Day 1
Arrival in Bonifacio
Bonifacio, the picturesque capital of Corsica, famous for its citadel, its cliffs and its breathtaking seascape, awaits you for an unusual discovery, at your own pace.

Arrive at the airport and transfer to your charming 4* hotel accommodation in a van with private driver. You are free to stroll through the hotel's landscaped garden or spend some time by the pool. For lunch, guide Pierre will welcome you and explain the programme for the days ahead. Chef Lionel Lebrun offers a gastronomic Bonifacian menu, using produce from his own kitchen garden and local produce.

Overnight half-board in a charming 4-star hotel.

Day 2
Discover the limestone
and the citadel
After a gourmet breakfast, set off along the Campu Rumanilu coastal path to discover the beauty of Bonifacio's limestone landscape. Pierre will accompany you with Christophe, a mid-range mountain guide, who will open the doors to a biodiversity interpretation site.

Lunch and the early afternoon are free. In the middle of the afternoon, you will join Pierre, who is waiting to tell you the secrets of the ingenious management of water in the Upper Town. You will visit a well-hidden old cistern. Dinner on your own.

Day 3
Free day
This day is all about relaxing. You can choose to head to Bonifacio for a stroll around the marina and go shopping for souvenirs or Corsican culinary specialities.

Day 4
Meet the producers
and local tastings
This is a day dedicated to authentic encounters thanks to visits to atypical farms. In the morning, meet Vincent Buzzo. He takes care of his vines using phytotherapy. He'll show you around his estate, then invite you to taste his three-colour wines. You'll then head off for lunch at the Potager en herbes, an unusual spot run by Charlène and Marc. They grow edible flowers, fruit and vegetables in their permaculture kitchen garden. After enjoying a lunch box from the A Cheda hotel restaurant, you can visit their farm and discover the chutneys, mezzés, flavoured oils and other fabulous products that the couple invent in their laboratory.

In the evening, a musical cultural surprise awaits you in the Church of Saint-Dominique. Get dressed up for an unforgettable traditional experience. Dinner on your own.

Day 5
Hike to the Madonetta lighthouse and visit an organic fruit and vegetable producer
After breakfast, you'll set off on a hike led by mid-mountain guide Antoine. Starting point: the Hermitage of the Trinity, then a walk along the Strada Vecia path, where white stone walls and viewpoints alternate with prolific endemic vegetation. This excursion takes you as far as the superb Madonetta lighthouse. For lunch, you can enjoy lunch boxes prepared by Ortulinu, a bakery that is a member of the Réseau Nustrale, a network promoting short circuits initiated by the Office Municipal de Tourisme.

In the evening, you're free to dine on the marina or return to your hotel.

Day 6

and discover its underwater
underwater environment
