The A MADREPERLA diving club welcomes you in a friendly atmosphere and in a natural spirit to help you discover the hidden treasures of the eastern plain, including two of Corsica's most beautiful wrecks: the Alcione, a small 55-metre tanker, and a B25 bomber in excellent condition, still equipped with its machine gun.
DISCOVERIES
SNORKELING
From age 8 (or 7 if the child is comfortable in the water and not afraid of being on a boat).
No medical certificate required
Written authorisation from the legal guardian for minors
From the boat, equipped with a wetsuit, mask, snorkel and flippers, with family or friends, discover the Mediterranean flora and fauna in a site (Bagherra) rich in biodiversity.
This activity requires no special skills other than being able to swim, and children must be accompanied.
BAPTISM
From age 8
No medical certificate required
Written authorisation from legal guardian required for minors
Maximum depth: 6 m for 20 minutes
On the surface is great... but underwater is even better!
You're not very comfortable in the water, you've been traumatised by Jaws, you have a phobia of water or you're claustrophobic, but you've always dreamt of doing a first dive to see what happens underwater?
Then it's time to take the plunge!
THE EXPLORATION PACKAGE
From age 12
No medical certificate required
Prior written authorisation from the legal guardian for minors
One 20-minute introductory dive and one 40-minute exploration dive
Maximum depth: 6 m
Did you find the introductory dive too short? Or would you like to share this magical moment with one or more of your loved ones?
As long as you have a minimum level of aquatic ability, you can take part in a second dive with your family or friends (maximum 4 people) after the baptism, which will last twice as long (40 minutes), always accompanied by an instructor of course.
TEACHING
If you want to dive more regularly and be able to exceed 6 metres, it's time to take a course. This will give you the technical and theoretical skills you need to practice this activity as safely and comfortably as possible.
There are different levels, each with its own prerogatives:
FOR CHILDREN
THE BRONZE OR SILVER DIVER
From 8 to 12 years old
Prior written authorisation from the minor's legal guardian
A medical certificate from a federal doctor or a specialist stating that there are no contraindications to scuba diving, less than one year old.
3 practical lessons of around forty minutes and 1 theory lesson to become autonomous in preparing your equipment, entering the water, diving and moving around in the water up to 6 m accompanied by the instructor, while discovering the flora and fauna in a fun way.
THE GOLDEN DIVER
From 10 to 14 years old
With prior written authorisation from the minor's legal guardian
A medical certificate issued by a federal doctor or a specialist doctor stating that there are no contraindications to scuba diving, less than one year old.
4 practical lessons and 1 theory lesson to dive to 12 m accompanied by the instructor.
FOR OLDER CHILDREN
LEVEL 1
From the age of 12
Prior written authorisation from the legal guardian for minors
A medical certificate issued by a general practitioner stating that there are no contraindications to scuba diving, less than one year old.
Welcome to Series A!
This internationally recognised level allows you to dive to a depth of 20 metres with up to 3 other divers, accompanied by a guide.
6 practical courses and 1 theory course
PE 40 QUALIFICATION (supervised diver to 40 m)
From the age of 14
Level 1 certification
Prior written authorisation from the legal guardian for minors
A medical certificate issued by a general practitioner stating that there are no contraindications to scuba diving within the last year (although it is strongly recommended that you consult a specialist).
Are you starting to feel more experienced and comfortable after 10 or 15 dives, and don't have the time or inclination to take Level 2, but would like to dive to 40 metres?
With 3 technical dives and a bit of theory, you can obtain the PE 40 qualification, which will enable you to dive to 40 metres with a guide and visit the wreck you've been wanting to visit for a long time.
LEVEL 2
From the age of 16
Level 1 certificate required
Prior written authorisation from the legal guardian for minors
A medical certificate of fitness to scuba dive, less than one year old, issued by a general practitioner (but it is strongly recommended that you consult a specialist).
This certificate allows you to dive to a depth of 40 metres with a partner and to dive autonomously to a depth of 20 metres.
In general, 10 technical dives and a little more theory are enough.
LEVEL 3
From the age of 18
Level 2 certificate
A medical certificate issued by a general practitioner stating that there are no contraindications to scuba diving, less than one year old (although it is strongly recommended that you consult a specialist).
For real enthusiasts, this is the last level of diving and allows autonomy up to 60 m.
Your experience, the number of dives you've made and your know-how will determine how many dives you need to make to reach this level.
