Corsica in winter, a different way of discovering its mountains via wild itineraries offering superb views, all with a light rucksack so you can make the most of your stay! You'll be in the heart of the Corsican mountains, with the sea close at hand.
The itineraries depend on the current weather and snow conditions. Your guide will be able to adapt the itinerary to make the most of the snow conditions and enjoy the descent.

Your stay

Day 1: Welcome in Bastia at 3pm.
Transfer by vehicle to the Poghju di Venacu gîte (1h30). Installation and equipment check.
Dinner in a restaurant and overnight in the gîte.

D2 to D6: Depending on the snow conditions, we will choose the best snow each day to discover one of the following valleys and focus on the pleasure of skiing

- Ascu Valley: at the foot of Corsica's highest peak, Monte Cintu, this valley offers many possibilities, including the climb to Bocca Tumaginesca (Col Perdu) at the entrance to the Cascettoni, the famous Cirque de la Solitude on the GR20, the ascent of Capu Borba, Muvraghja, Pointe des Eboulis, etc.

- The Niolu Valley: some fine climbs, including the Pointe des Eboulis, Capu Falu, Monte Albanu, Punta E Cricche and, on the other side of the valley, Punta Artica and Monte Tozzu.

- Restonica Valley: very close to Corte, in the Ritondu massif, a very varied valley, with the not-to-be-missed routes of Maniccia, Punta Muzzella, and the Soglia and Goria breccias.

- Vizzavona: climb Punta Migliarellu or Punta di l'Uriente, depending on snow conditions.

- Massif du Renosu: climb to the highest peak in Southern Corsica and descend via the Valle Longa valley, or take the Vitalaca route, for breathtaking views over the Eastern Plain and the sea, and Italy in fine weather.

Group: for organised groups, max. 6 participants per Mountain Guide
Dates: 1 departure in March. Tailor-made departures throughout the winter for groups, depending on snow conditions.
Accommodation: hotel and gîte
Packing: light day pack, picnic lunch
Mandatory safety equipment: avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe. Equipment hire available
