Alta Strada ski touring on the GR20 with Altre Cime

 gr 20 hiver altre cime

The Haute Route on skis in Corsica with reduced portage!
Climb several summits

The Alta Strada is a classic for all ski tourers!

In a wild setting and atmosphere, on a route that follows Corsica's great watershed ridge, with the sea as a backdrop, this ski tour will let you discover the Corsican mountains in winter. You'll ski along snow-covered ridges with superb views of the Corsican mountains and the sea at your fingertips!

On the programme, you'll ski from Ghisoni to Ascu, climbing a peak over 2,000m each day: Monte Renosu (2,352m), Punta di l'Uriente (2,112m), Punta Muratellu (2,141m), Pinzi Curbini (2,021m), Punta Muzzella (2,342m), Punta Artica (2,327m) and Punta Crucetta (2,499m).

The remoteness and basic comfort of the refuges and the highly variable quality of the snow make this an exceptional trek, and a difficult one at that. It is aimed at people who already have some experience of ski touring, walking with crampons and a taste for effort.

Thanks to our logistics, you'll have access to all your gear on the evenings of days 1, 2 and 7. You'll only need to carry a light day pack. A real "plus" for these 3 days of skiing!
On the other days when you'll be sleeping in mountain huts, we'll set up logistics to ensure that the huts are supplied with food, so you'll only need to carry your personal belongings.
