DAY 7: Porto-Vecchio
The mountain village of Porto-Vecchio and its radiant lake
Off we go to the first small mountain village, 900 meters above sea level, where Porto-Vecchio's inhabitants traditionally spent the summer, sheltered from the heat. A little higher up, nestled in a forest of laricci pines, alders and poplars, a dam provides an enchanting backdrop.
Medium-level hike: breathtaking views, even a glimpse of Sardinia
A summit culminating at 1,316 meters, located in Corse-du-Sud, near the village of l'Ospedale. This 2h30 round-trip hike leads to the summit, where you'll be treated to an exceptional 360º panorama. From here, you can admire both the east and west coasts of the island, with breathtaking views over the bay of Porto-Vecchio, the Alta Rocca, the Aiguilles de Bavella, the Gulf of Valinco and the Ospedale dam.
