Day 7: Bonifacio
The mountain village of Porto-Vecchio and its radiant lake
On the way to the first small mountain village at an altitude of 900 metres, where the people of Porto-Vecchio traditionally came to spend the summer, sheltered from the heat. Visit dazzling Bonifacio, like a fjord where luxurious yachts and magnificent sailing boats are moored, home to a bustling marina full of restaurants and lively bars; and high above—high heels strongly discouraged for the climb—a Citadel with steep, characteristic alleyways where the houses balance precariously on the edge of the chalk cliffs.
Optional: Boat trip
