THE TRIP PROGRAMME
DAY 1
START OF THE IMMERSION
Free arrival in the afternoon at the astronomical gite, ideally situated near a village in central Corsica, 20 km from Corte and 750 m above sea level. Welcome by your host Stéphane, who will show you around and introduce you to your "astro" room. Relax by the swimming pool before dinner in the village. First astronomical evening, first night at the gîte.
DAY 2
UNDERSTANDING THE SKY
Enjoy a day at leisure. Take the opportunity to visit the area around the gîte, starting with Corte and its typical village life. In the afternoon, set off on a gentle walk along Corsican paths to the Bozio cathedral, a 15-minute walk from the gîte, or the chapel of Saint-Joseph, a short hour's walk from Erbajolo. You return at the end of the day or after dinner to begin your second astronomical evening with a specialist, with whom you can learn more about observing the sky and its celestial objects...
DAY 3
LEARNING ABOUT INSTRUMENTS
A day at leisure. Today you can go hiking to discover the lakes above Corte, and explore the Restonica gorges where you can bathe in natural pools of cool, crystal-clear water. A winding road takes you to the Grotelle sheepfolds, the starting point for the Melo and Capitello lakes. In the evening, your third astronomy evening, you will use the instruments available at the lodge to observe the sky in depth.
DAY 4
LAST NIGHT UNDER THE STARS
After breakfast, enjoy a day at leisure. Discover the coast near Calvi, a 40-minute drive from the village. Other inland walks are also possible. In the evening, workshops and discussions, and more in-depth observations through the telescope. Last night at the gîte.
DAY 5
END OF YOUR STAY
Wake up to a view of the Corsican mountains. Breakfast served in your room, then a day at leisure. Depart late morning after a last dip in the pool! You'll leave with a photograph of the observations you made at the gîte, as a souvenir of your astronomical sojourn on the land and in the skies of Corsica. Continue your stay in Corsica or return home.
Your accommodation
You'll be staying in Stéphane's gîte, located in Erbajolo, in the heart of Corsica's Regional Nature Park. The gîte has five comfortable bedrooms, a swimming pool for daytime relaxation and areas dedicated to astronomical observation. Just 30 minutes from Corte, it's an ideal base for discovering the island's natural riches!

Stéphane, your host at Erbajolo, is passionate about astronomy. Since 2017, he has been sharing his love of the stars with his guests, offering enriching evenings of observation. Alongside seasoned specialists, he will guide you as you explore the Corsican sky, renowned for its purity and clarity.
