A sporty and contrasting getaway to discover the major peaks of the Gulf of Porto.
Your trip, day by day...
Day 1: A viewpoint overlooking Scandola
Meet in Calvi and transfer to the village of Galeria.
On this first day, we set off on a short hike to discover a little-known peak, a superb viewpoint over the Scandola reserve, Galeria Bay and the island's high peaks... before returning to our lodge in Galeria.
Overnight stay in a lodge.
Day 2: Heading for Girolata
Between forest, ridges, and scrubland, the mare monti leads us to the village of Girolata, where we spend the night.
Optional, to be paid on site: private tour of the Scandola reserve at the end of the day. To be decided on site depending on your preferences and the sea conditions at the time.
Night in the lodge.
Day 3: The postman's trail
We leave Girolata and head for the Col de la Croix via the famous postman's trail. From there, we have a number of options depending on our fitness and what we feel like doing...
Overnight stay in a gîte.
Day 4: A tour of the ridges
A superb loop offering views over the Gulf of Porto, taking little-known trails and a section of the Mare-Monti trail.
Night in a lodge.
Day 5: The secret beaches of the Gulf of Porto
A more relaxed day, from beach to beach, on the coastal trails... discovering the most beautiful coves of the Gulf of Porto. Plenty of opportunities for swimming.
Night in a hotel.
Day 6: Capu d'Ortu
After a short transfer to the Calanche de Piana (30 min), we tackle the climb to Capu d'Ortu. At an altitude of almost 1,300 m and less than 3 km from the sea, the arrival at the summit is dizzying, and the view of the sea and the high peaks is magnificent.
Last evening at the Hôtel des Roches Rouges, a listed historical monument. Aperitif on the terrace to enjoy the sunset over the Gulf...
Day 7: The most spectacular cape on the island
Last but not least! For this last day, we walk along the most spectacular coastal hike on the island... a cliff 331m above the waves for a final picnic at the top of a Genoese tower.
Transfer to Ajaccio at the end of the afternoon.
7-day format with assistance. Moderate athletic level.
