We have put together an original itinerary for you in an authentic land, far from the tourist hustle and bustle, nicknamed “the island within the island.” After exploring the Cap d'Agde headland via the coastal path, you will discover the iconic Agriates desert and the hilltop villages of Nebbiu, true historical treasures offering sumptuous sunsets.

Your day-by-day itinerary

DAY 1 From Bastia to Macinaggio

Welcome in Bastia in front of the tourist office. Meet your guide and the other participants in the hike. Transfer to the seaside village of Macinaggio. Along the way, you will discover the fishing villages of Erbalunga and Santa Severa, and enjoy the beaches. Check in at your hotel for your first evening in Cap Corse.

DAY 2 Barcaggio and the Customs Officers' Path

You will head towards the northernmost tip of the Cap to reach the small fishing port of Barcaggio. Located at the end of a peaceful bay at the mouth of the Acqua Tignese, it faces the islet of Giraglia. From this charming village, you will cross the beautiful wild beach of Cala before starting a climb along the rugged coast to reach the Genoese Tower of Agnello. On the way back, you will stop at the village of Rogliano where you will discover a magnificent 2-hour heritage trail offering a commanding view of the sea.

Night in Macinaggio

DAY 3 Fishing villages and mountain sheepfolds

On a mountain plateau, nestled in a setting of scrubland overlooking the sea, “Grotta à e piane” is an ancestral pastoral habitat. You will also explore the charming village of Cannelle and the Mattei mill before arriving at the fishing port of Centuri, which has retained its old-world charm.

DAY 4 Loto, Saleccia, and Agriates Desert beaches

Our route takes us to the magnificent village of Nonza before reaching the Gulf of Saint-Florent. You will take the boat to the Agriates Desert, once known as the “breadbasket of Rome.” There, you will be amazed by the splendid beaches of Saleccia and Loto, where cows have found refuge, and by the biodiversity of the delta. After this exploration, you will settle into your accommodation in Saint Florent for two nights. You will have the opportunity to stroll around the picturesque town.

DAY 5 The Villages of Nebbiu

You will set off to discover the 12th-century church of San Michele, one of Corsica's architectural gems. Then you will head to the village of Murato, where you will be charmed by the Bevincu River, its historic Genoese bridges, an old ice house, the mint, and other cultural and religious monuments. Finally, Sorio will welcome you with its picturesque waterfall and the heritage trail entitled “between the profane and the sacred.”

Night in Saint Florent

DAY 6 The Ridges and Ice Houses of Bastia

For this last day, you will set off for the heights above the city of Bastia. The road will take you to Oletta, then you will continue towards the Teghime pass. It is from this pass that your walk towards Monte Muzzone will begin, passing through Pigno. Following the ridge line, you can admire magnificent panoramic views of the Gulf of Saint-Florent and the Tyrrhenian Sea. At the end of the hike, your guide will take you back to Bastia.

We offer comprehensive multi-risk insurance specifically tailored to our adventure trips (contract no. 7482 Assurinco). The rates are as follows: 4.00% of the trip price for residents of France, 6% of the trip price for residents of the European Union (EU) outside France. For residents outside the EU, the rate is €90 per person.

Sunday in Bastia at 1:30 p.m. at the airport or at 2 p.m. in front of the tourist office.

Friday at 6 p.m. in Bastia.

3-star hotel in twin rooms with private bathroom, air conditioning, and free Wi-Fi.

3 nights in Macinaggio in a hotel located on the marina.
2 nights in Saint-Florent in a hotel located on a quiet street in the center of the village.
For couples, rooms with a double bed are available upon request at the time of booking. Single rooms are available at an additional cost.

Continental or buffet breakfast depending on the hotel.
Evening meal including a starter, main course, and dessert.
Lunch in the form of a picnic in the countryside.
