As a specialist in the area, your guide will help you enjoy superb bathing in the torrents and discover the many secrets of the gulf.
Your day-by-day tour ...
Day 1: Small mountain villages
Welcome in Ajaccio at 2pm, then transfer to the small hilltop village of Soccia, in the heart of the Sorrù mountains. On the way, take a refreshing dip in the Fiume Grossu. Welcome aperitif at Dumè's hotel.
Meal at the small village restaurant.
Night at the hotel.
Day 2: Discovering Lake Crena
An old mule track takes us to Lac de Crena, Corsica's only lake nestling in the heart of the forest... Then we climb up to a superb viewpoint overlooking all our massifs, before returning to the village of Soccia.
Transfer to Evisa.
Night in a gîte.
Day 3: A few steps on the GR20
We join the mythical GR20 for a beautiful hike in the Golo valley, which will take us to an altitude of over 2000m, to a summit frequented by a few connoisseurs.
On the way back, we'll take a short break under the E Radule waterfalls.
Night in a gîte.
Day 4: Looking out over the Gulf of Porto
Short transfer to Ota. After climbing through the scrubland of a pink granite cove, we reach a surprising chestnut grove. We'll take advantage of this forest to take a refreshing break, before reaching one of the most beautiful viewpoints over the Gulf of Porto.
We then make our way to the village of Serriera, where we set down our bags "chez Régine", in an old oil mill that has been converted into a cosy gîte...
Night at the gîte.
Day 5: The beaches of the Gulf of Porto
A coastal walk in the Gulf of Porto. This is our chance to swim in some of the most beautiful coves in the area....
Second night at Régine's
Day 6: The Scandola Reserve
The first part of the day is spent visiting the Scandola Reserve by boat*.
At the end of the afternoon, a short walk takes us to the top of Corsica's highest cape: a 331 m a-pic above the waves. From the top of a beautiful Genoese tower, we'll be able to admire the sunset and look back over the previous days' route. Picnic at the top of the tower. Return by headlamp.
Overnight at Régine's house.
*As the weather at sea sometimes prevents boats from going out, the visit to the reserve may not take place. It will be paid for separately, so that it can be reimbursed in the event of cancellation. In this case, a hike will be organised instead.
Day 7: The Calanches of Piana
Breakfast at the gîte, then return to Ajaccio in the early afternoon, after a final picnic by the sea. On the way, a short hike in the calanques of Piana, famous for their varied pink granite cliffs and a World Heritage Site.
