DIVING SITES

CAPE PERTUSATO
Nestling at the foot of Bonifacio's imposing cliffs and ideal for beginners, Cap Pertusato is more than just a beginners' diving spot - it's a journey into another world. A shallow aquarium starting at a depth of 2 metres and offering the possibility of descending to a depth of 12 metres. The turquoise waters of the Mediterranean illuminate the limestone rock, creating a unique natural spectacle. The underwater wealth of Cap Pertusato is just as impressive, with an abundance of biodiversity that will amaze beginners and experts alike.

KIKI CRIQUE
In a well-protected rocky bay, on a seabed ranging from 3 to 12 metres, not far from Mérouville, lies Kiki, a large, friendly grouper in a league of its own. He has made his home here and become the mascot over the years.
This site is ideal for new divers, as it allows you to build up your confidence while seeing some 'big fish'.

BECCU - THE CAMEL
Not far from the Lavezzi lighthouse, we take you on an exceptional dive on the theme of rock passages and arches. We'll start the dive with a descent into a field of posidonia, giving us the chance to meet a few barracudas! We'll then come to a pile of rocks, which we'll enter to wander through the great labyrinth of Beccu, arches, rock passages, caves and vertical faults. This amusing maze is full of surprises, and we'll have the chance to see some corbs and mostelles. Once we're out of this maze, we'll make our way quietly back to the anchorage, without missing a chance to say hello to our petrified camel, a remarkable sculpture of nature, on which we'll find a myriad of Flabellines and their fragile spiral clutches. Those with a keen eye will have no trouble spotting some pretty pieces of amphora.

SOUTH BEACON - ECUEIL DES LAVEZZI
This dive is a drift with a thousand variations, around the large southern beacon and the Lavezzi reef, the southernmost point of mainland France. The Lavezzi reef is known to archaeologists for the three ancient wrecks filled with amphorae that lie there at a depth of between 38 and 42 metres. The southern zone, because of its exposure, is the wildest. The relief is impressive and the seaweed covering the rocks is so abundant that you'd think you were in the forest of Brocéliande. On this drifting route, all kinds of encounters are possible: Rays, Dentis, Grouper, Liches... etc. However, you will need to awaken your hunting senses as the fish so rarely see divers that they are much more stealthy than on the rest of the archipelago...

MAN'S HEAD
A huge stone that rises from the depths some thirty metres and, at the right angle, sculpts a huge human face seen in profile. During this dive, you'll have the chance to wander through the many rock passages in the area. You'll also be able to see the magnificent gorgonians that populate the many drop-offs, where large groupers are constantly lying in ambush. This walk along the edge of the deep drop-offs is also a great opportunity to come across large pelagic fish such as cuttlefish or even the occasional tuna hunting in the area.

THE CLOCHES
We'll take you to the Cloches in a westerly wind. This cluster of rocks, not far from the memorial to the maritime tragedy of the Semillante, will delight beginners and experts alike. The site takes its name from the bells filled with air trapped in the rock, which make a noise to the rhythm of the swell as the sea deepens.

This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful dives in the Lavezzi Islands. We'll start the dive with a walk among the stray and outcropping boulders, in a veritable crowd of Castagnoles, Sars and Girelles. Gradually we'll reach the prairie, these large rocks covered in seaweed where small marine life bustles about.

During the walk, we'll often come across Grouper as well as the famous Denti, a tireless hunter with sharp teeth and a pink coat that sometimes comes to disturb the tranquillity of this site and the shoals of Sars, which have remained static until now. If you look hard enough, you might spot a moray eel or a cicada at the bottom of their hole.
During this dive, you'll find yourself dreaming and imagining yourself a treasure hunter, as this site is one of the richest in shallow amphora fragments. Give your imagination free rein... Then, when you look up, you'll have a different view of these outcropping rocks and the waves that crash against them, having caused the loss of many fishing and trading boats since ancient times...
