The Traversée des Merveilles is a holiday for people who want to take the time to look around. A splendid coastal itinerary linking Calvi to Ajaccio, passing through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Mediterranean in the Gulf of Porto.

YOUR ITITNERARY DAY BY DAY

Day 1: Ajaccio - Pevani

Depart Ajaccio and follow the crystal-clear waters of the gulf. The road winds its way between sea and scrubland, offering breathtaking panoramic views of wild coves. The gradual climb reveals the splendid Pevani road, where the sensation of riding suspended between sky and sea becomes a reality.

Day 2: Pevani - Cargèse

Continue along this spectacular coastline, where hilltop villages dominate the sea horizon. The deserted beaches invite you to take a swim before reaching Cargèse, a uniquely charming village with two churches facing each other, testimony to its Greek-Corsican history.

Day 3: Cargèse - Porto

This emblematic stage crosses the mythical Calanche de Piana, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The red rocks sculpted by erosion plunge into the intense blue of the Mediterranean. A breathtaking geological spectacle before the descent to Porto.

Day 4: Day off in Porto
A day dedicated to exploring the sea with a boat trip to the Scandola nature reserve, a protected jewel with breathtaking cliffs and turquoise waters. This is the perfect time to observe the marine fauna and rock formations that are inaccessible from land.

Day 5: Porto - Galeria

Climb back up to the wild western coastline via the Palmarella pass, offering one of the finest panoramas of the holiday. The winding road reveals a raw, unspoilt Corsica, far from the crowds, before reaching Galeria, a haven of peace on the banks of the Fango.

Day 6: Galeria - Calvi

This is the last stage of the journey along this grandiose coastline, where the road cut into the rocks overlooks the sea. By road bike, the option of the Marsolinu pass offers a breathtaking view of the Balagne region. Arrive triumphantly in Calvi, a Genoese citadel dominating its azure gulf.

Day 7: Departure day-
Last morning to savour the Mediterranean atmosphere of Calvi before the return journey. The end of an unforgettable adventure along Corsica's most beautiful shores.
